Being from alberta how do I know when and where to go kiting in B.C
I can go around home and end up kiting alone which I feel is dangerous .
I live in Devon and the conditions around here are not great and the weather channels wind reports are usually wrong . I look at the conditions according to the weather channel for Sqaumish and dont see how anyone could kite there as there's usually not enough wind shown on the weather channels report .I read the forum and it's been good ?!
I have holidays now and dont want to fly somewhere either as the airlines are weird with sports gear . I went to St. Lucia and they accepted my kites with a snowboard for water ( I didn't say kiteboard as Air Can. says no to them , go figure )
any help appreciated .
Also can I camp around there as I'm not into paying crazy amounts for a place to sleep

this is a great bow/flat kite with great range & is built "bomber"

it was called "the One" because
it has great range and it was the only kite you might need in your quiver.

I've sailed this kite in as little as 12 knots and as much as 25+

The new OR strap are wicked comfy and they have a new mounting style that is hassle free for mounting and wont twist....i would say they are more comfy then the lf deluxe

those syncs look like they may be pricey. bellingham kites has the LF luxury straps for $110. how much duty is on something like that? I'm leaning towards the LF pads. maybe i'd be better off just buying the from howe sound juice and kite.

Sunday was really nice kiting. No more than 4 kites on the water. Warm wind. At 2:00 it was blowing 20-25kts. A bit up and down then it steadied out around 3:00pm. Maybe 30kts. I spent the afternoon nicely powered on a 7m. Warren was killin it on his 9m, showing us how the lifty air at Nicola works. I left at 6:00pm and it was still blowing. As for forecasts, Warren is the Nicola valley guru. He'll know how to best predict.

I just went through this issue and after messing around with a few types I got the NSI proton straps and their OREO style pads for my LF board. They are great. You can torque the straps down super tight. Great for small feet too.

On my slingshot board I actually left my slingshot pads on my board and just hooked the NSI straps to the the pads/board. Works well.

I had the LF luxury pads and straps. They are nice but not good for smaller feet. They don't tighten enough. I sold them to Adam(who really likes to party I am told) and he seems to like them.

I'm in the same boat actually as the Nobile pads/straps are quite firm and inflexible. They also stretch a lot once wet, but tough to get into at first.

looking to get a new set of footstraps to replace my nobile ones (such good boards, such awful straps). I've tried the LF lux straps and they feel nice. I've heard good things about the newest naish straps too. Any thoughts as far as comfort, quality and value go?

pump is a bright green naish pump. don't claim it if it's not yours!

sandle is black, not new, you may not care you lost it. :p

wetsuit bootie (1) is black. there's also a red one on one of the posts at the spit.

harnesses: i know what they look like. if you lost yours, you'll know too.

everything was picked up sunday evening and left with the overnight campers to give to sws reps in the morning when someone arrived to open the can, since it was all locked up by that time.

CRISIS AVERTED. I REPEAT: CRISIS AVERTED. - i found my bar & lines... i'd packed them in a different kite bag that i didn't take w/ me to the spit. d'oh! bonehead, i know. heh

had to rob the bar & lines off my big kite yesterday when i discovered my waroo bar and lines were missing. we offloaded stuff from my car by the container/rocks, then carried it down the spit. it's POSSIBLE that the bar and lines fell from the side of the kitebag where they should have been.

if anyone picked up my best waroo bar & lines i would be most grateful to get them back.

is it a bright green naish pump? if so, i found it & left it w/ some overnighters who were going to give it to the sws ppl in the green can when they arrived in the morning since the can was already locked up.

same with two harnesses and a sandal and a wetsuit bootie.
