idea: season launch party on the spit this spring? (a tale from spain inside)

llllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooong time no see! i didn't get out at ALL last year. Sad

cliff notes why:

busy, sick a lot, work stuff, family stuff, sick some more, crashed some cars etc lol - so trust me, it was definitely me & not you guys!

a tale from spain:

unfortunately not a tale of my own trip, but rather my twin bro's. while in barcelona he stopped by multiple restaurants and tried to order paella. they all declined his request and told him to get stuffed because they ONLY serve the dish to parties of two or more who MUST be good friends. some other tourist also wanted to try the dish, so they decided to dine together... and the restaurant told them to get stuffed because they were not good friends & had only just met. talk about preserving cultural traditions around a food dish, eh??! rather neat, imo.

and that brings us to my idea...

other folks willing, i'd <3 to cook up a wicked big pot of rice & another of paella right on the spit to kick off the season with the best damned group of kiter friends the wind could blow into town this coming spring. it'd be great if there were enough people keen on the idea that we could do a pot luck sort of thing with ingredients and supplies, as we'd need a couple burners & humongous pots from a party supply place, a propane tank or two, prawns, scallops, other tasty sea creatures, saffron etc etc - and if anyone here has an authentic family recipe, that'd be even better! Cool

anyone down for a feast among friends when the wind starts up this spring? just thought it'd be a great way to start the year i actually get out on the water & stop sucking hind tit at kiteboarding. Laughing out loud

oh Ummm
