NWKite & Slingshot Winter Party
|
|
|
Hey Kiteboarders! We are having our winter party this Saturday, 7:30pm at AudioCinema in Downtown Portland (226 SE Madison St)
Slingshot is sponsoring again and will be bringing a bunch of free schwag a brand new 9m kite for one lucky winner. Local kiteboarding shops 2nd Wind Sports and Gorge Performance will also be there to party with us. If you have friends who are interested in kiteboarding, bring them along! This is the perfect opportunity for them to meet some locals, have fun, and get an idea of what kiteboarding in the northwest is all about.
Got a bunch of footage this year? Put together a 7 minute or shorter video, and bring it on DVD to the party. We'll be holding a video contest as well.

Thanks and hope to see you this Saturday!

Skypilot School-Liquid Force September Special
3 Hour Private One on One Custom Lesson on a Brand New 07 Liquid Force Havoc Kite – $999!!!
The Skypilot Kiteboarding School feels really badly for all those who missed out on what little summer we had this July and August. As an offering to the wind gods, we, in partnership with Liquid Force Kiteboarding are offering 3 hour lessons (reg. $318) and a brand new 2007 Liquid Force Havoc 8m or 10m (reg. $1439 and $1549) for just $999 (plus tax).
Come learn from the most experienced Instructional Staff. It doesn’t matter whether you are beginner or an advanced rider learning frontroll kiteloops, we can advance your skills. Your time with one of instructors can be directed to any area of kiting. This includes: basic riding, beginner jumping, wakestyle -unhooked riding, wave riding, or even gear maintenance.
The Havoc is LF’s freestyle driven bridled supported kite. The Havoc’s design is based on a newer and more powerful “C” shaped ARC design. The Havoc’s arc features a 25% flatter segment. This flatter segment creates the power of a kite that is two square meters larger than its actual size. The Havoc’s new “static wingtip pulley” induces fast yet powerful turn that does not distort the kite’s profile.

It seems crazy but all we hope is that the wind and sun come back so we can all go ride a little more!! See you on the water and in the sun!!!! Skypilot School.
